The HDD/mSata was part of the operational problem but I do not believe it is the root cause of the continued E7-93 errors. It was strange to me that this happened on 3 different machines at the same time but I could not find any documentation to support my theory. This is what I was curious about (print drivers/bad doc issue).
This isolates the MFD vs any potential Client network issues. Test any problem document from your laptop with a cross-over cable.Transfer it to a USB stick and print via USB Direct, without network infrastructure or print driver interference. Locate a document which regularly causes this code.Sometimes you'll find the error happens only when printing from 1 specific PC or when printing 1 specific document. Download the Job Log file from the MFD and isolate which PC's or documents are always causing the problem, matching date/time of error code in Sim 23-02 print out. Confirm code only appears on network print job.Your MX4070N has PS built-in, so test with a PS Driver as well. You can also try ‘Print as image’ tick box within Adobe to print a flattened PDF without color profiles, transparencies, layering etc. Isolate any problem document and test elsewhere. If the documents are PDF’s, update the Adobe application to the latest version for full compatibility. These often cause problems on printing, and I don't care what any MacOS fanboy says, they just do. It is recommended to not use other non-Adobe PDF ‘Viewer’ applications, especially the Previewer application on a Mac. PDF? Make sure a genuine Adobe application is processing the document, eg Adobe Reader or Professional. Trace what type of document/application causes the code. Definitely can be a HDD problem if internal print pages do not work, but your devices work OK.I've seen E7-93 be solved with latest drivers installed too many times to count. Running correct model & latest version driver? Old drivers with new applications installed on PC’s can cause this. You'll often find jam code PRI_Jam recorded at the same time, often with the paper stalled at the Registration rollers. Also make sure connections are good between the SCN-MFP PWB and the HDDĮ7-93 can be caused a number of things actually. I would go that route before replacing the MFPC PWB. TIA!One of the causes of that error code points to the SCN-MFP PWB. Just to re-iterate these are MX-4070N machines. TIA!Īny thoughts (helpful please), would be much appreciated before I try to locate the MFPC PWB. The machine does NOT seem to record the error in 23-2 however.Īny thoughts (helpful please), would be much appreciated before I try to locate the MFPC PWB. I can print ALL internal test prints from 22-6, 23-2, and 64-5. The machine will still throw an E7-93 error (and a subsequent jam because the copier stops mid-operation) but it will come back to "Ready" with a full power cycle. I have replaced the mSata board, replaced the HDD, and flashed the latest firmware available (Phoenix_0800Z100_22093000). The second machine, while not as problematic, is having the EXACT same issue. The machine does NOT seem to record the error in 23-2 however.
would not boot, "please wait" when going to settings, etc.), but after coming across the ability to image mSata boards, I have been able to get the machine to come to ready and function normally with the exception of an occasional E7-93 error. The first machine has been problematic for a while (i.e. I have 2 machines that are popping up E7-93 error codes and though I'm leaning towards the MFPC PWB I wanted to run through what I've done so far. I want to preface this by saying that I'm not an authorized Sharp Service Technician:
